Can you believe that it’s almost July?! The summer seems to be just flying by and it feels so great to see all our kiddos back at the pool. The End of School Celebration had a great turnout. Special thanks to the members who heard our need and stepped up to help serve hotdogs, serve ice cream, to decorate and to clean up the aftermath. It definitely takes a village to make these events happen and we are so incredibly thankful to every single member that lends a hand. Speaking of lending a hand, we have several big events coming up in July and will need your help. Our next poolside cookout will be held on July 4th.

Please plan to celebrate Independence Day with us! Board members will be grilling up hot dogs and baked beans and are asking members to bring a dish to share. We will be celebrating all afternoon but are planning to eat around 5pm. Please follow this link to sign-up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C044EABAC22A5FF2-july1
While we work very hard to make sure that many of our events are geared towards the kids and helping them to make wonderful summer memories, we do recognize that our parents enjoy our pool as well. Coming up on Friday, July 12th we will be welcoming our adult members to “Wine Down the Week” with us. Please plan to swing by from 5-9pm and meet some of our Board members. BYOB or W and an hors d’oeuvre to share. This is a time to just relax and enjoy one another’s company.
Coming Soon
Now, onto some more serious business. Coming up (Tentative Date: Saturday, July 27th), we will be hosting a massive fundraiser for the pool.

This will be a Swim-A-Thon event where interested participants will actively seek sponsorship/donations from family and friends. Sponsors will agree to donate a set amount per lap or may choose to donate a set amount up front. On the day of the event, swimmers will be designated a lane based on their age group and will have the opportunity to swim as many laps as they can muster. This is not a race. However, swimmers who raise the most funds in each age group will receive prizes. This is our biggest fundraiser attempt for 2019 and we need all members to make every effort to lend a hand. If you have, or are, a swimmer interested in helping us save our pool, please click HERE to sign up. We will also have a sign up sheet available at the Guard Shack. NONMEMBERS are welcome to participate! Additionally, if you are a member who cares about and enjoys our pool, we are seeking Committee members to assist on the day of the Swim-A-Thon. PLEASE, if you may be able to help in ANY capacity, we NEED you! To join the committee, please contact Board Member, Bailey Wingler at 336-978-3353 or via email at BaileyWingler@gmail.com at your earliest convenience.
Thank you all for continuing to support our pool over the years. As we move forward we will be actively seeking out new, ACTIVE board members to help plan our 2020 pool season. To us, EPP isn’t just a pool, it is a place for our community to gather, to make memories, and to provide our children with a safe, healthy and family friendly environment to spend their summer months. Please help us to make sure that Eaman is around for many decades to come!
