Eaman Park Pool has served Rowan County families for 65 Years!

You read that right! Eaman Park Pool is Salisbury’s longest running community swim club. For 65 years we have been welcoming families and their friends to this community run pool club. And in 2020 we even welcomed their 4-legged children during our end-of-season Doggie Dip. From splashing in the shallow end to competing in Shark and Minnows, watching our pool families grow is a joy beyond compare. Coming up on Saturday, May 22, 2021 we are celebrating this momentous occasion with a poolside concert. From 5:00-6:00pm members and their guests will enjoy live music from local talent Courtney Puckett. Courtney is a well versed musician who has been soothing crowds with her sultry vocals and jazzy guitar style all over NC. After her set, we’ll kick things into high gear with Old Time, Neo Folk Trio Mama Tried. This popular loca band is based here in Salisbury, NC and features the talents of Emily Soward – Guitar and Vox, Kent Smith – Percussionist Extraordinaire, and Duke Wicker – Bass.

The Eaman Park Pool Board is providing refreshments, along with a selection of wine and craft beers from New Sarum Brewing Co. Members will also have the opportunity to view a slide show that highlights many of our amazing pool families over the years and to meet our 2021 Lifeguard Team.

As we celebrate this amazing accomplishment, we hope to also reflect on the positive impact that our pool has had on our community and in the lives of our children and families. From riding bikes to the pool on a hot summer day, to celebrating the end of school with a dive into the deep end, EPP is cherished by so many. We have watched babies grow up into young adults ready to change the world, welcomed them to join our lifeguard team, and then surrounded them with love as they headed off to college. For 65 years, Eaman has been a place where neighbors can come together, socialize and build a community.. a community that somewhere along the way starts to feel like family.

This 65th Anniversary party is FREE to attend and donations are encouraged. As we move into another season and battle rising operating costs and limited volunteers, we need your help to ensure that our pool continues to serve this community for many years to come. Please plan to join us on May 22, 2021 from 5-7pm. RSVP by May 18, 2021 by emails us at EamanParkPool@gmail.com. Please note that this is an adults only event.

  • Our Pledge to Keep You Safe

Our Pledge to Keep You Safe

On Monday, June 1, 2020 at 12 NOON Eaman Park Pool will officially open for the 2020 season. While the COVID-19 Pandemic has certainly created a few obstacles, the team at Eaman is working hard to ensure that you and your family are safe this summer. In order to ensure that we are able to follow all social distancing guidelines provided by the CDC and the state of North Carolina, we have implemented the following:

New this Summer – We are now offering Chair Reservations!

Reserved chairs can only be used by the member who reserved them. The chairs and the area around the chairs will be clearly labeled. Chair Reservations are $50 for the first chair, and $25 for each additional chair. Reply to this email to reserve your spot at the pool.     *Picnic tables will continue to be first come, first serve.*

New Snack Shack Rule – To limit the touching of food and surfaces, only lifeguards and board members are allowed in the Snack Shack this year.

Pool Toys – We have stored all communal pool toys for the duration of Phase 2. Please, remember to bring (and take home) any toys, floats, or noodles you and your family need for your day at the pool.

New this Summer – Members can continue to have their non-member guests join them at the pool for $5. This year we are installing a drop box near the entrance to the Guard Shack so that guests may join you even when a lifeguard isn’t on duty to accept the guest fee. Just drop the money in the box and enjoy a great time at the pool!

Hours – Our hours will continue to be 6 am to 9 pm every day of the week. Enjoy swimming laps in the morning? We’re open! Have little ones that don’t like to swim with the bigger kids? Want to enjoy the pool in the late morning before the heat of the day gets too much? We’re open! Don’t get off work till 5:30? Come down and have dinner with the family at the pool. We’re open.

Lifeguards – Just like last year, guards will be on the stand from noon to 6 pm every day. The concession stand will be open during these hours as well. Bathrooms will be open during all open hours. We will limit our older kids coming to the pool without their parents to the times when guards are on the stand, no one under the age of 21 is allowed at the pool without a parent or guardian outside of the hours of noon till 6 pm.

President’s Office Hours – Our 2020 President is Daphne Safrit. Daphne will be at the pool June 1st beginning at 12 noon. She will be at the pool the remainder of the week from 10am-12noon. That’s Monday-Sunday of our opening week. President’s hours will be updated weekly.

Most importantly, we want to see you healthy. If you don’t feel well, don’t come to the pool.

We will be posting more updates as we get closer to Opening Day. Keep and eye on your email and find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/EPPSalisbury.

Please send any reminders, updates, or questions to eamanparkpool2012@gmail.com.
