WELCOME to the 2019 season here at beautiful, Eaman Park Pool! We have been absolutely thrilled to welcome our new and returning families to our little slice of paradise. We had an excellent turnout over Memorial Day weekend and are anxious to keep the momentum going now that school is officially out. Michael and Tabitha Myers have returned again this season and will continue to serve as co-presidents. Michael and Tabitha have dedicated countless hours to making our pool run over that last year and we are so very grateful to them!
As you know, we had to reschedule our annual Last Day of School celebration due to thunderstorms. The new date is Saturday, June 15th. We will begin grilling hotdogs at 4:30pm and we will have an ice cream sundae bar to follow. Members are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to attend. The cost is $5 per child. All proceeds this year will go towards our Pool Resurfacing Fund. As many of you know, resurfacing the pool is our number one priority and has been for several seasons. As such, we are already working on some unique and FUN fundraising ideas. In the coming weeks we will be discussing some of these ideas and asking for your input both at the pool and on our Facebook page. It is our goal to make these events as FUN and carefree as possible.
In addition to fundraising events, we also plan to spotlight some of our volunteers. As a stock-owned, community operated pool, we are all responsible for this pool. We have been incredibly fortunate to have members of our EPP family volunteer in a million and one ways to support our pool. From helping out at our events, to cleaning, landscaping and helping stock the Snack Shack, it is our amazing volunteers that keep our pool running. If you would like to see how you can help out at the pool, OR if you would like to nominate a volunteer to be spotlighted, please send us a message on our Facebook Page or comment here.
As a reminder, EPP is open with FOB access from 6am-9pm daily. Lifeguards are only on duty from 12noon-5pm. The Snack Shack will be open during that time. Minors MUST be accompanied by a guardian outside of lifeguard hours. When leaving the pool, please remember to turn down the umbrellas and put away any toys you see lying around. Leaving toys in the pool is hard on the pool and we hate losing our expensive umbrellas to pop up storms. We sincerely appreciate your help with this.
We are really looking forward to an amazing pool season and are ready to make some fantastic memories. Stay tuned for more updates and as always, Happy Swimming!
